From £30,000, dependent on experience
Joe Perkins Design is an award-winning landscape design practice creating
beautiful, sustainable landscapes across the UK and internationally. We work on
residential gardens, public realm projects, and show gardens, combining strong
design concepts with ecological sensitivity and regenerative principles.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Studio Manager to oversee
studio operations, coordinate projects, and support our growing team. This is a
key role at the heart of the practice, ensuring systems run smoothly and projects
are delivered efficiently.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Project & Client Coordination
Responding to new enquiries and supporting client communications
Managing and maintaining the CRM system
Setting up and maintaining project folders and Google Workspace systems
Coordinating project workflows, deadlines, and team resourcing
Supporting plant and product procurement (Stage 5)
Providing ad hoc project coordination and team support
Studio Operations
Managing diaries, team calendars, travel, and timesheets (Clockify)
Overseeing professional and business insurances
Maintaining filing systems and refining internal processes
Managing office supplies, software subscriptions, and IT systems
HR & Team Support
Managing holiday tracking and day-to-day HR administration
Supporting recruitment and onboarding
Coordinating staff training, appraisals, and team events
Reviewing and updating policies and staff documentation
About You
5+ years’ experience in studio, office, or operations management (ideally in
a creative environment)
Strong organisational and project coordination skills
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal English
Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office, and Mac systems
Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
Interest in design, landscape, or sustainability a plus
