Stunning high-end gardens are achievable without compromising on sustainability

We have to adapt landscapes and gardens to be resilient to their environment, flexing and experimenting with solutions to the challenges that droughts, flooding and extreme heat can bring.

Taking all this into account, we can make sure that your space is easy to care for too.

We strive to eliminate waste

We repurpose as much as we can from your existing site, without compromising the design, and we never remove anything unless it's necessary.

Your outside space is living and breathing and constantly changing. We're always mindful of how it's going to work for you, and how practical your space will be to manage over the years to come.

We knew practically nothing about garden design when we first approached Joe and his team, who were amazing from the start. We said that the gardens we  most liked were the Alhambra in Granada, Jim Thompson's garden in Bangkok and a traditional English country garden. Joe's team really listen to what you say and work incredibly hard to ensure that the end result reflects those discussions. Somehow the feel of all three of those diverse gardens in a very constrained and difficult site were incorporated... and the garden we have is a wonder - and we feel very lucky to be surrounded by it.

Residential 'Urban Terrace' client

Our work with Joe Perkins has been a great experience for the whole team - they bring their design training with a real grounding in practical solutions for our horticulturalists and I have no hesitation in recommending him and his work.

David Richardson, Horticulture Commonwealth War Graves

Having worked with a variety of garden designers throughout my career, Joe Perkins have been by far the most inspiring, supportive and in tune with not only the client needs and objectives, but also what is appropriate for a garden of this standing. Joe and his team have deeply connected with us as the client and have taken time to truly understand us, our opportunities but also our challenges.
