Joe Perkins Design Returns to RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025. We’re thrilled to be working in partnership with The Kings Trust (formerly The Prince’s Trust) to bring a Main Avenue garden to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May 2025!

The Chelsea Flower Show, the annual spectacle hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society, remains the epitome of horticultural elegance and innovation. I was judging at the show this year, so had the privilege of seeing the gardens at their best on Sunday morning. Here are some of the key trends that I think defined the show this year.

We’re delighted to announce that Joe Perkins' award-winning garden from RHS Chelsea, titled The Meta Garden: Growing the Future has been officially unveiled today at Conkers Discovery Centre, at the heart of the National Forest.

We’re so proud and truly honoured to have been awarded an RHS Gold Medal for The Meta Garden on Main Avenue at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. The garden was over 2 years in the making by a team of over 100 talented individuals from more than 10 different companies.

Joe Perkins, like most gardeners, has typically been more animated by what’s going on above the ground than below it. The quality of the soil was important, no question, but what was really going on down there felt mysterious and impenetrable. As for fungi, it usually meant one thing in a garden, and that wasn’t good news.
