2025 sees our exciting new curation, Garden for the Future, open at Sheffield Park and Garden. With a design of our time by three-time RHS Chelsea award-winner, Joe Perkins, this is the first major renovation project since the garden came under National Trust care and represents a significant and pioneering moment for Sheffield Park and Garden.

A garden for the future

The new collection was planted in Spring 2025, transforming an area of the 120-acre garden which was once used for propagation and experimentation, into a remarkable planted oasis.

A sensitive and inclusive curation, this is a garden within a garden - a legacy which addresses head on the challenges of climate change through science, innovation and experimentation in high horticulture.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a name for the new space at Sheffield Park and Garden. Our panel reviewed all the suggestions and ‘Garden for the Future’ was chosen.
