The Vision

The Glade at Sheffield Park and Garden is a sympathetic modernisation of a peripheral corner of the Grade I listed garden.

Climate resilience, accessibility and the positive effect of nature on mental health and wellbeing are at the core of the design. The new area will be a garden within a garden, a sensitive and inclusive curation with a design of our time by two time RHS Chelsea award winner, Joe Perkins.

The project presents an opportunity to transform the area into a legacy which reflects Sheffield Park’s history of innovation and experimentation in high horticultural design, whilst also addressing head on some of the practical challenges in caring for this unique property for future generations.
