Woodland Edge Garden

This garden, now under construction, is being developed alongside a new home in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The design reflects the client’s wish for a landscape that feels both structured and natural, with seasonal highlights focused on spring and autumn.

A newly built swimming pool anchors the garden along a central axis, while the surrounding spaces are being reshaped to enhance movement, improve views, and create a more fluid connection between the house and wider landscape.

Key features such as the parterre, orchard and woodland walks are retained and reimagined, while new planting responds to the site’s clay soils and complex topography. The result will be a balanced and resilient garden, designed for low intervention but rich in atmosphere and experience.
